Rendered this using Photoshop.

Rendered the basic color foundation.
Then i added the facial features and the lips on a separate layer.

Then i added the shadows and facial feature enchancements.
Best done using a combination of airbrush and burn tool. XD

Then i rendered the hair.
Added a few shadows here and there.

And voila.
The final.

Im pretty happy, not bad for my first piece. :)
I heart you Wacom.

My recent work.

This was highly inspired by Derek Hess's work 'Feathers Of Angels'.
You can find more of his amazing stuff at his site.

www.DerekHess.com

His work is what some may call gory, but it has meanings behind it indefinitely.
His portrayal of them is free flow and sketchy, which i think adds an extra reality to it due to its imprefection.

Kind of reminds me of my previous works, which were not exactly gory, but has a very dark and profound meaning to it.

The Self Eating Bunny.
This self-destructive creature that represents the nature in us people which sometimes overwhelms our mind without us even knowing.
We self-destruct every once in a while, and there's no lie about it.

The Deformed Baby Joey.
The shy and timid persona which even the boldest person has.
Everyone starts out small, and it's the courage of taking a risk which helps us grow.

That's about it for now.
Oh and im super pleased with the new skin. :)
More pleasing to the eyes.

This assignment was given to us last week.
It's drawn according to a photo reference given to us.
But of course, we are allowed to change the hairstyle and clothing and colors.

I know you're gonna LOL so hard at this.
Dont la, i knw im not good with markers but at least i managed to make it look like people right?
Haha.
I LOL-ed when i was handing this up too.

My uhh.. last minute work.
The original picture was from a Dolce&Gabbana magazine ad.
I know, it looks weird. XD

A Reason For The Season.

This blog is started since we were encouraged to do so by our lecturer Sio Yean.
Plus i decided that my personal blog had way too much crap on it. *shy la*
And it'll be much easier if i had a blog which is simple, and loads faster.
Yeah, i know my Xanga blog takes a long long time to load.
Unless if you have kick ass connection.

More stuff to come as the weeks go by.

xoxo

This is me
